Paladin People – Miles Radde
Miles works to get stores integrated
Miles Radde, one of the talented technical services representatives at Paladin Data Corporation, is the picture of perseverance. He’s someone who can accept challenges, roll with the circumstances, and come up with solutions in both work and life.
For instance:
Miles and his high school sweetheart, Nataly, made a challenging move from Southern California to Bend, Oregon during the height of the pandemic.
Because of the social restrictions back then, they started their lives together with a courthouse wedding and then needed three attempts before they could finally arrange a wedding ceremony with family and friends.
During those delays, they started their family by welcoming a baby boy, Avery, and adopting a “German shepherd mutt” named Bailey.
Finally, Miles went from working offshore for six years on a hopper dredge cleaning West Coast harbors and river bars to a land-based job with Paladin.
“Being from Catalina, most of what I did was around boats and ships,” he explains, adding that he doesn’t miss the many months spent at sea. “It’s nice being able to go home every day now. We love to explore Bend as much as we can. It’s a great place to get outside.”
The family likes to hike and camp. He often frequents Mt. Bachelor after learning to snowboard at the California resorts Mammoth Mountain and Big Bear.
Miles grew up in tiny Avalon (population a little over 3,000), the only town on Santa Catalina Island off the Southern California coast. He found Paladin through Brandon Hays, a grade school friend who is one of the company’s Managed Services specialists.
At Paladin, Miles is part of the software squad focusing on setting up integrations for the company’s clients. Over the past few years, the company’s e-commerce and customer incentive integrations have been very popular.
Paladin has e-commerce integrations with Ace, Do it Best, House-Hasson, Orgill, True Value, United, and Volusion. The company also offers its own API that allows independent stores to sell online and in-store with their Paladin database which provides stock-on-hand and online invoices.
“I like to work on the new roll-outs with (Technical Partner Specialist) Chris Kelley getting stores set up,” he explains. “E-commerce has become popular and it makes sense for most stores.”
Miles persistence and hard work has made him a valuable asset to the company and the stores he works with.
“Miles is a fantastic employee. He has a positive helpful attitude and is consistently dependable and trustworthy. I can’t overstate how valuable it is to be able to assign a project to someone and know it is going to be done correctly and in a timely manner. Miles is exactly the sort of person that brings that value. If I give something to Miles to handle I can rely on it being done in accordance with Paladin’s Core Values,” says Operations Director Tyler Klein.
