Hannah’s Passion for Learning, Teaching Benefits Her Squad and Clients

Hannah Callahan loves to learn new things and enjoys passing that knowledge on. That yearning suits her well as one of Paladin’s talented technical support representatives (TSR).

Hannah is a valuable member of Paladin’s Squad 1, which helps client stores with hardware challenges. A native of Salem, Oregon, she came to Paladin from working at Best Buy’s Geek Squad in Bend, where she followed in the lineage of some other Paladin stalwarts – Account Specialist Ryan Simmons, Squad 1 Lead and Hannah’s supervisor, Andrew Martinelli and Squad 2 Lead Joe Walker. Fellow Squad 1 TSR Matt King, and Squad 2 TSR Alex Best are also former Geek Squaders.

At Paladin, Hannah digs into her work with fervor and backs up Andrew when he’s unavailable.

“I do this thing where I pick really difficult issues where there’s not a lot of information. I work through it and then pass that information on to the rest of the team,” she says.

Andrew says it’s her ability to learn and teach that makes her invaluable to Squad 1.

“Something that’s incredibly valuable to the team is having somebody who can figure out a problem to its core. Hannah has that ability. Then taking that knowledge and passing it on to others,” he says. “Understanding every piece to a puzzle and not just understanding the whole puzzle.”

Hannah takes the lessons she’s learned and the knowledge she develops and helps lead Squad 1’s training sessions.

“I do really like it here. I really like the teams we have. I like that there are new things to learn. I like teaching those things to teammates,” she says.

All of this is quite an accomplishment for someone who just recently celebrated her first anniversary at Paladin. She smiles when she says she often mixes up her hire date with the day she adopted her pooch, Oboe, a border collie mix. She says it’s a name that fits him.

“The shelter gave him that name and I understand why. He’s very vocal,” she says.
